Take a look at the love...

Your wedding ceremony is a celebration of you as a couple .
Having a celebrant lead your special day is truly awesome.
The world is your oyster when it comes to the creation of your ceremony!

Whatever your style and whatever your story, we will work together to create a ceremony which truly reflects you and your relationship, and sets the tone for an incredible wedding day.

Dog as ring bearer - of course!    Audience particpation - why not!  Handfasting - yes yes yes!

Not sure what you want to include - not a problem, we will work togther!

How We Create Your Ceremony

1. Lets have a chat

The first step is easy and completely pressure-free. I will call you for a chat or even better if you are local, we can grab a drink. I can talk you through your options, and you can check that I’m your kind of girl. Then lets make a booking!

I take a £100 deposit to secure your chosen date. We may chat about some key information about your plans, to start the ball rolling.

2. Planning

I’ll send you a quick quiz.  This starts you thinking about what you may or may not want included in your ceremony. It’s nothing formal just questions such as; what makes your relationship work, and why do you want to get married? At this stage we will have a proper face to face meeting (Covid permitting) so that I can get to know you better and work out what makes you – you! This is also a great opportunity to discuss key elements such as vows, rings, other symbolic gestures such as handfasting.

3. Creating

Crafting your wedding ceremony is a bespoke and creative process; and to do this I spend weeks getting to know you both, building trust and friendship. This means that the script will be full of personal anecdotes about your lives. Every ceremony is unique.

I’ll send you a draft of your ceremony. I am always at the end of a phone or What's App for you to share flashes of inspiration or queries. I'm happy to make as many revisions as you need, to ensure you are both entirely happy. Edit away until you love it!

4. The Big Day

Big breath – the day is here! I arrive in plenty of time to chat with guests and synchronise with your photographer. I’m there for any reassurance you need -I've got you! I always carry  emergency tissues and words of encouragement.

And then, deep breaths – it’s going to be amazing – let’s do this!

Are Humanist Weddings Legal?

Sadly - not yet!

At the time of writing, humanist ceremonies are sadly not legally recognised in England or Wales. They have been legally recognised in Scotland since 2005. In order for your wedding or civil partnership to be legally recognised you would need to have a civil ceremony in a registry office before (or after) your ceremony. Prices for legal services start from approx £70
